RASTAFARI INTERNATIONAL THEOCRACY ISSEMBLY (RITI) 1983

"This is indeed an historic occasion. A time when humanity and Creation are being threatened to be eradicated by the accumulated illegality of international oppression.  A time when billions of people, adults and children, are starving, malnourished and dejected through systematic deprivation and neglect.  A time when immorality is high, is at its highest level possible.  A time, brothers and sisters, when the first International Theocratic Issembly of Rastafari is being convened for global liberation and repatriation.  I an'I give thanks!  (applause)  Brothers and sisters I implore you all to take confidence in resolving our problems and realisisng our objectives.

OUR STRUGGLE

Our struggle against international oppression entails centuries decorated with historical brilliance.  At this stage of the struggle I observe that it is absolutely necessary to analyse and establish our collective position, our whole assets and liabilities.

The need for international conceptual uniformity is obvious.  We need to take urgent measures to ensure our collective security and cultural sovereignty.  In the light of the critical situation in which we find ourselves, being the target of international oppression and its increasing aggression, having been born in immoral societies, we are outcasts automatically.

We cannot over-emphasize the need for international consolidation of Rastafari Family.  For the Rastafari family hood to successfully overcome the existing barriers and the foreseeable obstacles presented by international oppression, our unity must know no flaw.  Rastafari is one universal supreme life, upful in all its manifestations.  Therefore there is no need, there is no room for ideological controversy within the Rastafari House.

Owing to the absence of conceptual oneness, organized collective standards and universally accepted principles, the absence of common determination and centralized administration, the movement has become vulnerable to distortion.

UNSCRUPULOUS ELEMENTS

Obviously the Rastafari House has been infiltrated by unscrupulous elements who are mis-representing the cultural morals and cultural integrity of I an'I movement.  They have activated the movement of disunification resulting in the present factionalisation of the Rastafari House.

Determined to procure their personal self interest and gratification they stand as deterrent to the fundamental standard and concept of Rastafari livity.  I an'I must act now to prevent further splinterization of Ian'I movement, and to correct the existing cultural disorder.

The time is doubtlessly appropriate for laying the foundation of centralization.  Brothers and sisters, we must put away spiritual grudgefulness, social segregation and personal indiscipline.  We must demonstrate mutual respect, reverence, collective cooperation, conscious intellectual overstanding and tolerance.

SEXUAL EQUITY

I respectfully implore this theocratic Issemble to acknowledge the Creation is administered by two complimentary heads, male and female.

Sexual equity is a fundamental principle of nature for the harmonization of the Rastafari family.  It is our fundamental concept of Rastafari Inity that male and female are the continuation of each other.  Daughters are indispensable, and even more so at this stage of our struggle.

No liberation, national or international can ever be accomplished without the in depth involvement of daughters.  (cheers and applause)

We must realize that our daughters cannot give their needed potential contribution from an inferior status.  We must give our daughters their natural respect and dignified recognition, thereby addressing the core and rudiments of our cultural disorder.

In concluding, I am pleased to state that this Issemble is a gigantic and positive step forward in the collective, the international collective welfare of Rastafari family..

(shouts of JAH RASTAFARI!!! And Applause)"
